Hello, my name is Ambour Leal and welcome to my website!
My major is comm journalism, and I am currently a 22-year-old Lamar University student. I want to be a storyteller, traveler, photographer, and the best version of myself that I can possibly be. This is my last semester as an undergrad senior at LU and I plan to graduate by May.
I was born in Alice, Texas, and grew up in the countryside. The main reason I chose to go to LU for a journalism degree was that I was primarily interested in writing and I wished to explore what opportunities this career path could offer. With this kind of career, I had hoped to have a decent job that I like, travel, and accomplish some of my other personal goals.
Since junior high, I have always liked to read books and write my own stories. I think that these hobbies helped shape me into who I am today, insofar as how I choose to express myself and why I had chosen the journalism career path. Books became a world I could escape to, indulge in, learn from, and gather inspiration from. Writing allowed me to use my own words to create my own story and reality as I saw fit. My writing wasn’t just my form of release, it is one of my passions and something I genuinely enjoy. Eventually, I do want to publish my own books with my own stories in books.
